Exporting Data

You can export any part of your data for use in a spreadsheet or other program that will accept a CSV (comma separated values) format file.  To do so, select File | Export Data.  This will open a window that looks very much like the main vehicle window.  Select the desired vehicle, then click on the desired table tab.  You can mark the items for export using the standard Windows marking: i.e. click to mark an item, shift-click to mark a range, or control-click to select non-contiguous items.  If you want to select all items in the list, press control-A.  When you have selected the items to export, click the Export button.  Type in a file name to export to, or use the look up button to find an existing file to overwrite.  Click OK and the selected data will be written to the specified file in the CSV format.  The order of the data in the file is the same as the order in the table and the first line in the table has the corresponding field names.

If your spreadsheet program is associated with .csv files, then just double click the .csv file to open it in the spreadsheet.  If no association is available, then open your spreadsheet and either open or import the file according to the method used by your spreadsheet program.
